Despite Covid19 restrictions within the Tristate, many promoters have managed to promote and host events attracting hundreds of concertgoers. On Saturday October 3rd, one such promoter hosted an event dubbed Fivio Foreign & Friends in Jersey City attracting several hundreds individuals in an undisclosed indoor venue.
The event which listed other acts such as Sleepy Hallow, Sheff G, Jennaske, Mariah Lynn, Fetty Luciano, Rah Swish, Shmann Dawgg, Killa Vuitton, Tdott Woo, Tay Prince, Kaimikaze Kai amongst many others gracing the stage, saw the event ending prematurely due to entourage/stage management issues and a rumored fight backstage.
With Fivio Foreign as the billed headliner, it also saw Tory Lanez in the building but fans were not able to see the headliners perform, however, it was the friends from the Fivio Foreign and Friends concert that brought the house down.
Love & HipHop star and rapper Mariah Lyn and upcoming rapper Shmann Dawgg had the audience in high energy as they performed a variety of songs from their catalogs.
Mariah Lynn who is known for her 2015 hit single “Once Upon A time” which has amassed over 20 million streams to date plus a successful stint on Love and HipHip New York spit bars after bars and the crowd jumping.
However, it was upcoming rapper Shmann Dawgg, from Brooklyn New York that ‘Shook the room’ and represented in full force. The young rapper who delivered the most energetic set not only ignited the audience but claimed his space on the Cl0ud 9 stage.
His single ‘Who Dat” which has become an underground anthem disturbing the streets of New York had concertgoers going wild as he performed it live. The young rapper with his impressive dance moves, dispelled any notion of his rise and stardom quality.
With both performance sets getting cut due to varying reports from an alleged fight between Mariah Lynn and one event the staff, plus other rumored altercations amongst other issues each managed to walk away pleasing the audience and making the event memorable for those in attendance.
