Fast-rising recording artiste and dancer Daniiboo is creating waves with her new single WHY, and is already making big moves in the music industry to cement her name as an artiste.
Daniboo was also featured on international superstar Vybz Kartel album with the titled track Of Dons and Divas earlier this year.
Daniiboo is confident that her latest projects will bring her places locally and internationally.
The single ‘WHY’ was Inspired by a viral video with a big woman cursing her baby father for leaving her alone in Jamaica with the kids and forgetting about them and their relationship and private life.
The song was produced by international artiste and producer Kunley McCarthy from the famous dancehall group Ward 21, it was officially released in August of this year and is accompanied by a music video that was directed by Icey Jace films and shot on locations around Kingston.
“WHY” is distributed by Zojack Worldwide and is available for purchase on all digital platforms.
The song has been ripping up the airwaves and making rounds on social, and it’s well accepted by people worldwide.
Daniiboo expressed how happy she was with the overall reception of the song.
She shared “The feedback I get from the song is unbelievable. When I was recording the project I had a feeling that it would do good, but I didn’t know it would be so highly loved by the people. This only inspires me to keep going and continue to believe in myself and my craft,” she said.
Dancehall is known to be a male-dominated space with only a few female artistes surviving the test of time. However, Daniiboo thinks her music will set her apart from her peers and advise her fans to keep on supporting her.
“I am bringing a different style to the industry being sexy, and classy at the same time. I dare to be different and fans of dancehall should support my music because I am one of those females that would never get you bored for a second,” she said.
