“After tirelessly working all night at Will Power Studio, my producer Khali Jah decided to create an instrumental with a fusion of Reggae, Hip-Hop, and a touch of smoky R&B,” the singer shared.“I heard the beat and thought, “I’m going to write a romantic song to set the tone right”, she continued. “I had wrote a few lyrics with a different flow, but ‘no one’ kept popping back up in my freestyle.”
Being born and raised in Jamaica, Empress Jay migrated to the United States in her teens. For as long as she could remember, music was always in her life. She sung in the local church choir, school choir, and band, starting at the age of six. In addition to her many talents, the emerging artist is a ghostwriter and a guitarist.
