Yesterday, Brooklyn artist Emprezz Jay released the official video for her third single ‘No One’. The smoky hybrid rhythm explores relatable topics like heartbreak, self-affirmation, and revelation. Produced by frequent collaborator and producer, Khali Jah, the nineties-tinged track intends to empower all women at their lowest moments and through their transitions.
“After tirelessly working all night at Will Power Studio, my producer Khali Jah decided to create an instrumental with a fusion of Reggae, Hip-Hop, and a touch of smoky R&B,” the singer shared.
“I heard the beat and thought, “I’m going to write a romantic song to set the tone right”, she continued. “I had wrote a few lyrics with a different flow, but ‘no one’ kept popping back up in my freestyle.”
Before then, Emprezz Jay came out of a traumatising relationship and used it as a source of inspiration.
