The Queen of Dancehall Spice celebrated her hypnotic new single, Go Down Deh featuring Reggae/Dancehall legends Sean Paul and Shaggy, with an epic Egyptian themed single release party.
The song, produced by Grammy Award nominee, Costi Ionita and Shaggy and written by Spice, Sean Paul, Shaggy, Costi and Shane Hoosong, made its debut at No. 1 on US and Israeli iTunes Reggae. The music video — directed by Jay Will — is currently No. 1 YouTube trending in Jamaica while also sitting atop Tidal Reggae and Dancehall Video hits.
The track will be followed by Spice’s highly anticipated debut album, entitled TEN, slated for release on July 30, with further details to soon be announced. Produced by Grammy Award nominee, Costi Ionita and Shaggy and written by Spice, Sean Paul, Shaggy, Costi and Shane Hoosong, “Go Down Deh” – the rhythmically pulsating earworm – brings together this iconic Jamaican trio for an unprecedented collaboration set to take summer by storm.
“WORKING WITH SEAN AND SHAGGY IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST MILESTONES OF MY CAREER! THEY ARE BOTH INTERNATIONAL GIANTS IN OUR GENRE AND I’M HONORED TO HAVE CREATED SUCH A HISTORIC MOMENT BY BEING ONE OF THE FIRST ARTISTS TO HAVE THEM COLLABORATE ON A TRACK TOGETHER.”
VH1’s Love & Hip-Hop cameras rolled as cast members Rasheeda, Safaree Samuels, Yandy Smith-Harris, Karlie Redd, Sierra Gates, and Jasmine Ellis, among others walked the red carpet to the Queen of Dancehall’s single release party.
