One of Upstate New York most popular radio personalities, DJ TYGGA TY, who is affiliated with The Beat 105.5Fm in Rochester, New York, continues to make waves. The DJ who continues to champion Caribbean influenced music such as Reggae, Dancehall and Soca against other mainstream genres is becoming a force to be reckoned with.

The fiery disc jock who earlier this year challenged reggae-dancehall artiste to help strengthen the genre and by extension the culture throughout the diaspora.

The young DJs career started off by doing promotions for 89.1fm The Point while attending The College at Brockport, State University of New York and since has managed to become a household name.

Recently, TYGGA TY was a part of the 2020 Tap Artiste showcase in San Diego, California which attracted dozens of upcoming acts virtually as the entertainment industry adapts to the ongoing global pandemic.

Established in 2011 ArtistAuditions.com has booked over 1000 independent artists on some of the largest stages around the globe and even aids said artiste to meet the next big challenge by sponsoring a selected few on full-fledged tours.

“You know the Caribbean have the best flavor and as much as Hiphop and other genres are mainstream, you have to have a deep appreciate and love for reggae-dancehall music to bring the fire with the other genres” states DJTYGGA TY.

This year showcase saw the likes of DJ Epps, DJ Wonder from Sirius XM, and notable producer Frizzy with represents from major labels such as Def Jam, Interscope, RCA Records and Atlantic scouting talents.

Fans can catch DJ Tygga ‘The Stop Playinn Show’ which airs Monday-Friday 7pm-12am on The Beat 105.5fm and The Kickback Show which airs on 104.3fm Sundays 6pm-8pm.
