Dancehall artiste Rygin King is in critical condition at hospital after being shot and injured this morning.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force’s information arm, the Constabulary Communications Unit, confirmed the incident but is unable to furnish any further details.

Rygin King is among several people who were shot today after they left a funeral in Westmoreland. Nature of the injuries not immediately clear.

Rygin King is known for songs including Tuff, How Mi Grow and Things Gon Change.

Popular producer Shab Don uploaded a photo of the deejay asking fans for their prayers.

“Don’t give up Rygin king you youth dem need you also u Friends on family stay Strong  let’s pray for him,” he wrote.
