Kacie Rhoden more popularly known as ‘Kaiz’, is pulling no punches with her hard-hitting new single ‘Go Easy’.
Produced by An9ted Entertainment, the stimulatingly conscious composition tackles the revolting practice of child molestation and scant regard by some of the nation’s young females to exercise respect for themselves and restraint from these societal predators while asking for divine guidance as she sings,
“The little girl dem parents cyah hold dem again, dem run out fi go live with friend, dem change man like how me change pen, dem little girl yah hot like ten fire pon pile, dress inna short skirt with a big hairstyle, you cyah know dem a child dem will left you inna prison cell fi boil, cause dem nah hear and dem don’t care, so jah jah guide dem when dem on the street out there, because the paedophile a take dem without fear.”
A native of St. Thomas, and graduate of Yallahs High School, Kaiz says the impetus for penning the hit-bound single came from observing the spate of abduction, rape and killing of young girls; the degradation of society and wanting to help motivate people, especially the younger generation who needs to hear more positive messages of affirmation.
“When I observe how things are in the real and social media world, it’s evidence that morality is on the decline. As a female and recording artiste, I am trying to do my part in contributing positively to the upliftment of society. Even if is one person listen to this song and gets inspired I am happy with that because that means it’s one less problem we have to deal with as a nation.”Kaiz intimated.
Citing stalwarts such as Beres Hammond, Gregory Isaacs, Queen Ifrica, Tanya Stephens, Peter Tosh, Chronixx, Lila Ike and Bugle as some of her musical mentors, Kaiz initial ambitions of becoming a flight attendant seems to have transcended musically as ‘Go Easy’ takes flight on the airwaves. The young singer is currently being guided by reggae firebrand Bugle, who intends to see her name scribed in the annals of the Jamaican music industry.
Distributed by Johnny Wonder, ‘Go Easy’ was released on June 18 with the accompaniment of an official video via her Youtube account at ‘Kaiz Official’. The single is available on all major digital platforms worldwide.
