Jamaican international pop sensation Omi has seen his popularity soak to astronomical heights since his single cheerleader hit the Billboard Charts and made it to number one.

The singer is now nominated for two categories in the 2016 Billboard Music Award scheduled for May 22. He is nominated for the coveted “Top New Artist’ alongside Fetty Wap, Charlie Puth, Silentó and Bryson Tiller. Cheerleader is nominated for “Top Selling Song” including Adele’s “Hello” and The Weeknd’s “The Hills”.
