Spice’s 2019 MTV Movie & TV Award finally made it’s way to her palms
The Queen of Dancehall along with her Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta cast members walked away with the Reality Royalty award at last year’s staging.
The smash hit VH1 docu-soap franchise won the award over The Challenge, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, The Bachelor and Vanderpump Rules.
Spice shared a video with her award on Thursday night with the caption, “Thanks @mtv @mtvmovieawardzz Big up @loveandhiphop Right desso 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Big up all the cast members ✊🏿.”
The 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards ceremony took place June 15, 2019 at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, with host Zachary Levi, and was broadcast two days later on June 17, 2019. It was the 28th edition of the awards and the third to jointly honor movies and television.
This makes the second award for The Queen of Dancehall, as she recently clinched an award for her tremendous contribution to the Dancehall culture on a global scale.
On February 29th, 2020 Spice received a prestigious award for her excellence in Dancehall and Reggae during the third annual Jubilee titled “Many Nations One People,” hosted by fellow Caribbean influenced starlet Jessie Woo.
During her acceptance speech, Spice reflected on her humble upbringings as an impoverished girl from old Braeton, losing her father at 9-years-old, her home being set ablaze as well as many other common challenges faced by jamaicans in similar conditions.
